Our Dur-Elast® line of molded urethane side-tensioned screen surfaces has set industry standards for wear life, reliability, and operating economy for nearly 20 years. Dur-Elast® screen surfaces lower your production costs by lasting several times longer than traditional wire cloth. Fewer change-outs mean less labour, less downtime, fewer replacement screens, and more production. The cable-reinforced urethane screen surfaces are molded with tapered openings for peak efficiency. You spend less time changing screens and more time producing quality material of consistent size. Dur-Elast® screen surfaces are field-proven and backed by unrivalled factory support.
For instance, a Dur-Elast® Dual-durometer Urethane screen installed on the feed end of a deck, reduces downtime for change-out of wire cloth in extreme feed conditions. Dual-durometer Urethane absorbs the impact of the top size material that is fed to the deck while providing abrasion resistance for longer life.
Dur-Elast® Dual-durometer Urethane screen
Dur-Elast® Urethane Side Tension Screen Surfaces As their name suggests, Dur-Elast® Screen Surfaces are durable and flexible. They also help reduce noise. Because they're molded and cured in one piece by our factory, Dur-Elast® products set industry benchmarks for quality and consistency.
Dur-Elast® Screen Surfaces resist abrasion, corrosion, tearing, chipping, and chunking. They are custom-molded for your equipment. Because they install just like traditional wire cloth, no modifications are needed to your hardware or tensioning system. In short, Dur-Elast® Urethane Side-Tension Screen Surfaces are a simple, convenient solution that yields productivity benefits from day one.
Dur-Elast® Urethane Side-Tension Screen Surfaces are offered in a full range of sizes and openings.
Square or Slotted Tapered Openings: Openings available in two shapes:
- Square: Tapered square openings let material pass through easily, with accurate material sizing. Openings range from 3/32" to 3".
- Slotted: Tapered slotted openings can be oriented parallel to the flow of material for efficiency or perpendicular to the flow of material for better sizing. Slots increase open area, resulting in higher production.

Cable-Reinforced Urethane:
Smooth, flexible, shock-resistant urethane provides long life, absorbs impact and resists plugging and blinding.
Beneath the surface, steel tensioning cables provide strength and structural support.Three types of urethane are available:
- 83-durometer in openings 3/8" and larger for impact resistance.
- 92-durometer in openings smaller than 3/8" requiring resistance to sliding abrasion.
- Dual-durometer 60/85 for wet coarse applications with feed material of 1-1/2" to 2" and larger,
requiring maximum impact absorption and strength.
Mounting Configurations: Dur-Elast® Urethane Screen Surfaces are manufactured to fit your standard screening equipment for either side-tensioned, wedge hold-down or bolt-in.
