  Plugging is a major problem with trommel screens—except with Durex-Camline urethane screen surface. Punched plate surfaces plug. Punched rubber screen surfaces plug and are almost impossible to clean. Durex-Camline cast urethane trommel screens have molded, tapered openings so any rock that lodges in an opening will push through during normal mill operation.

On the average, openings on cast urethane screens allow more material to pass through, providing you with a more consistent product and higher production. Screening capacity is constant.

  Cast urethane screens have several advantages that lead to low maintenance:
  • they last longer, so there is less downtime
  • they are lightweight, so it takes less time to change screen panels
  • there is reduced plugging, so no time needs to be spent to clean out the openings of screens
  • panels can be replaced by one man

Because of the effective modular design, one urethane panel can be "snapped" out and replaced, if needed. The Durex-Camline design is engineered for low maintenance and long life.
Two Mounting Methods Available
  Mounting methods include standard bolt-down fastening and modular screen surfaces.

Modular urethane screen panels snap into "U" channels for easy installation and replacement. Modular panels have the advantage of individual panel replacement if one panel wears faster than others.

Panels can be replaced from the inside of the trommel by one man. Durex-Camline will manufacture the "U" channel framework and advise on installation.

Bolt-down screen surfaces are custom manufactured to fit your current trommel screen system. Optional bolt holes in flanges on both ends allow the trommel to be turned around easily for longer wear life.

Another modular option uses horizontal panels. Again, the urethane screen surfaces "snap" into position.
