An Economical Solution For Scalping To Mid-Range Sizing Applications

In quarries and mines, constant pounding by rocks and ore inevitably shortens the life of perforated plate or wire cloth screens. Impacting stones can cause poor production, and noise is detrimental to both employees and the neighbouring community. Plugging is another nuisance when screening rocks and other dry material. And when a screen needs changing, the job may require a crane or extra manpower.

Dur-X-Vulcan® rubber screens offer a practical, economical solution to such difficulties in applications that range from scalping to mid-range sizing.

Features include:

  • Ability to absorb impact
  • High resistance to abrasion and cuts
  • Tapered openings to eliminate plugging
  • Choice of opening shapes and sizes
  • Noise reduction
  • Choice of rubber durometers

Manufacturing Excellence

Durex-Camline technicians apply precise combinations of heat and pressure to deliver the best rubber-to-steel bond available. The Dur-X-Vulcan®  molding and vulcanizing process uses only the highest quality rubber compounds. The resulting Dur-X-Vulcan® screens are far more cut and abrasion-resistant than cheaper punched, glued, or laminated rubber screens.

Durex-Camline has a huge variety of molds to choose from, in a variety of styles and thickness. Openings range from .375" slotted openings to 8" round openings, with many square, slotted, and round sizes in between. All molds have a tapered relief to assure maximum screening efficiency.

Each Durex-Camline screen is engineered for a specific application. Design considerations include the type and size of material, drop distance, the type of machine, installation method and other factors.

Custom features can be added, such as:

Skid bars, which are molded into the screen to keep oversize material off the screen surface and make openings available to smaller material.

Solid impact areas, which are designed into the screen layout to withstand heavy loads fed to the screen surface.
